What we offer: We aim to give everyone the choice and the opportunity to publish their own work!
We have therefore, endeavoured to make subscribing and publishing your work online as simple as possible. Just follow the steps from 2 – 8 to enjoy this site.
We hope we have created a platform where you the creative writer can display your work for the world to appreciate and at the same time could turn you into a recognized author and prolific seller.
It is our aim and hope that this site will grow and evolve and to this end we will be organising competitions and other exciting events for you.
2. How to subscribe – packages
As you have decided to publish, you now have to ‘pick a package'! They are as follows:
Package 1
These are: Short stories – Comics – Journals – Poems. With the maximum of 3000 words or 100 pages – inclusive of illustrations. ( Please note that books that have complex illustrations have very large file sizes and can take a long time to download, which, at this time is a major barrier to sales. Until compression technology and bandwidth develop it is advisable to limit the illustrations).
A. Cost - £20 – three month contract
B. Cost - £35 – six month contract
C. Cost - £65 – one year contract
All books in this category will be sold at £1.50 per book.
You will receive 80% of the net profit of all sales of your book
Package 2
These are: Novels – Manuals – Comics – Journals – Poems. With unlimited pages/words/illustrations. ( Please note that books that have complex illustrations have very large file sizes and can take a long time to download, which, at this time is a major barrier to sales. Until compression technology and bandwidth develop it is advisable to limit the illustrations).
A. Cost - £30 – three month contract
B. Cost - £55 – Six month contract
C. Cost - £100 – one year contract.
All books in this category will be sold at £2.75 per book.
You will receive 80% of the net profit of all sales of your book
Package 3
Authors may have their work advertised on the revolving banner which appears at the top of every page of the site (with the exception of the blog), this will of course, increase reader's exposure to your book.
Cost £5. Per title per month.
This service is offered with the understanding that at times the demand will be higher for this advertising service and will result in an author's publication taking a longer time to rotate.
We have deliberately set the amount a book should be sold at as inexpensive as possible, thus encouraging potential readers to purchase more than one book!
You will receive 80% of the net profit of all sales of your book
To start selling your book, your use our Microsoft Word to PDF conversion tool you will need to become a member.
- Click the Register button located at the top right of the screen.
- Choose ' I would like to register as a writer' from the options screen.
- Read the terms & conditions, tick the box ' I accept the terms and conditions' then click 'Register'
- You will then see the Register as an Author Screen, and will need to complete your personal details, including your PayPal email address, please remember that we will never ask or require your PayPal password. Once you have completed your personal details click 'Proceed'.
- Your account has now been created, you can now login using the email address and password you provided in section 3d.
- Click on My Account located at the top right of the screen.
4. How to create a PDF (Adobe Reader®) file
We have created a Help Desk area where you will find links to external sites that will allow you to convert your document into PDF format. Alternatively if you are a member you can use our conversion tool, please note that you must be logged in first.
- Login into your account.
- Click 'My Account' located at the top right of the screen.
- Click 'My Books' - view details of the books you have uploaded.
- Click the 'Add a Book' button, located just to the right of Search Books.
- Complete the details such as Book title and choose a category that you think is relevant to the content of your book.
- The next two boxes after you have selected the category are Preview PDF and Book PDF. It is possible to upload a preview file of your book, why not create a file with just the first chapter for example, this will encourage people to see the qualit y of you book and encourage them to buy. The Book PDF is your complete book, which is stored securely on our system.
- To upload you must have your book in PDF format, if you haven't already converted your book use the link provided on the Add a Book page. By clicking the 'Browse...' button next to Preview PDF or Book PDF you will be able to browse your computer in order to locate your book. Once you have located on your computer select it and click the 'Open' button. The name of your book should now appear in the box. The book does not get uploaded to our system until you click 'Add this book' located at the bottom of the page.
The Cover picture : section on the Add a Book page has two choices, the first option allows you to upload your own cover, click the button to the left of the box under 'To upload your own cover, select it below:' now click the 'Browse' button to the right of the box, this will now open a file upload window and allow you to browse your computer and choose your book cover image. The second option is to choose a default image, use the slide bar to browse the default images and choose an image that may represent your book content.
Please note that the image does not get added to your PDF document, but is used only on our site. We recommend adding your book cover to your Word document or PDF.
